| Graphic Design |
|
Graphic Design is
more than just
drawing pretty
pictures. The
definition of
"Graphic Design",
according to
"dictionary.com" is
as follows: |
... (noun) - "the
art or profession of
visual communication
that combines
images, words, and
ideas to convey
information to an
audience, especially
to produce a
specific effect" ... |
Graphic Design should
not be confused with the
work a professional
Artists is doing. In
general, a graphic
designer is a person who
uses computer software to
take a concept and
create a commercial
product. |
Traditional examples of
Graphic Design products
would include Corporate
Logo's, Business Cards,
Brochures, Adverts,
Magazine Layouts,
Newspaper Layouts, Book
Illustrations, etc. |
These days however,
Graphic Design covers a
much wider spectrum,
which include, web
graphics, signage
products, animation,
electronic marketing
products, etc. |
 |
It is important to
consider the overall
corporate brand identity
when developing new
marketing material. A
business would ideally
want consistency across
all forms of printed and
electronic media. |
For this reason it is
recommended for new
businesses that do not
have an internal
marketing department to
consult with
professional marketing
agencies and/or design
studios when developing
their corporate brand
and identity. |
Once strict guidelines
are in place for the use
of the company logo in
marketing and
promotional material, a
business can start to
develop and design
business card,
brochures, signage,
corporate web site and
various other printed
and electronic media
that will carry the core
message of the brand
across to the target
market |
Teknique Studios
will assist your company
or marketing agency in
the design process of
any type of graphic
design projects you
require. |

 |
A typical graphics
design project at
Teknique Studios will
include the following
steps: |
 |
Conceptual Design Meeting: |
|
The first step is to meet with
the customer and determine the
concept of the design project.
This include the idea or message
that the design should carry
across, and how it would fit
into the overall corporate brand
in terms of colour scheme,
typeface and proportional size.
Other aspects include imagery,
production media (print, online,
etc.) and the intended target
market demographics. |
 |
Initial Draft Design: |
|
After the Conceptual Design
Meeting a draft design, or
several draft designs variations
will be created for initial
Proof of Concept by the
customer. The draft design will
include the basic design
according to the specifications
of the brand identity of the
customer. |
 |
Development of Draft
Design: |
|
Once the customer have selected
a draft design that meets the
basic, core requirements of
their brand identity, we will
develop the selected draft
design to incorporate images,
text and copyright material into
a Production Design, which will
be sent to the customer for
final approval. |
 |
Finalize
Production Design: |
|
Once the production design has
been approved by the customer,
we will finalize the production
design files. This process
include the creation of print or
electronic media formats ready
for delivery to the customer or
to be sent to commercial
printers, publishers or
production studios. |
